GreenFeedCycles is an Italian family-run business specializing in the composition and production of complementary feeds and premixes for all production animals and pets. The company focuses on professional customers such as feed manufacturers, providing protein supplements in their recipes. Today, the third generation of the family is at the helm under the guidance of Sabrina Gordini as CEO. “We remain true to our family values, but at the same time we adopt a future-oriented approach with a focus on further internationalization,” says Sales and Marketing Director Enrico Carnevali. “The choice of BESTMIX® Recipe Management 4.0 fits seamlessly with this.”
Cloud functionality is essential
Enrico Carnevali describes Greenfeed as a smaller but important player in the industry. “We have a strong presence in the Italian and European markets. Our customers know that with us they will find the quality and technical know-how they’re looking for.” GreenFeedCycles offers four product categories. “We distribute both raw materials, complementary feeds, and premixes. We also create custom tailor-made recipes, adapted to specific customer demand. It’s not uncommon for us to add a personalized product to our permanent portfolio at a later stage.”
GreenFeedCycles has two production facilities, one near Mantua and another near Ravenna, while its headquarters are in Bologna. “Therein lies the great importance of having a formulation package in the cloud. BESTMIX® Recipe Management 4.0 ensures that we can switch quickly, even if we are not at the same location. That makes a world of difference compared to our previous system. Back then we had to send every recipe change via email. Another great asset is the interaction between the formulation software and our other software tools, including stock management. Now all our programs communicate much better with each other.”

Enrico Carnevali focuses on the commercial and financial aspects of the business, while Nutritionist and R&D Director Salvatore Falciglia focuses on recipe formulation. As Falciglia says, “BESTMIX® Recipe Management allows us both to closely monitor the aspects that are important to us. The report tells me how competitive our products are and if we need to make cost adjustments, for example. The software also allows us to assign different access rights to different users. That makes the tool very flexible.”
